LG Marquee Boost Mobile - LG Marquee is actually not a very newest phone from LG. This LG Marquee brings up again because it has a new carrier now, Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile has announced that it will start carrying the Android smartphone starting January 23rd. The price? Well, it is going to be asking for $280 for the Marquee but that of course will come without the need for a new two-year agreement from Boost Mobile itself.
That makes this LG Marquee Boost Mobile an extremely exciting phone for those who do not want to sign any contract for any kinds of carriers and also do not want to spend a lot money for a smartphone at the same time. What a great idea from LG.
The design of this LG Marquee Boost Mobile would also be the attractive side too. The phone measures 4.8 by 2.5 by 0.36 inches (HWD) and it weighs only 3.95 ounces, so it is at the same time thin, light, and also feeling so comfortable to hold inside your hand. LG Marquee Boost Mobile chasing is made entirely of black plastic, with a glass screen. LG Marquee Boost Mobile uses 4-inch with 480 x 800 pixel NOVA capacitive touch display that looks so fantastic.
This LG Marquee Boost Mobile is a dual-band EV-DO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz) smartphone with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. LG Marquee Boost Mobile is also powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP3630 Cortex-A8 processor and Android 2.3.4 or famously called Gingerbread Android. Unfortunately, there is no word at all yet on whether the phone can be upgraded to Android 4.0 or famously called Ice Cream Sandwich or not. Let’s just wait then for the new words from LG.
You can also find these great feature inside LG Marquee Boost Mobile. Android 2.3 with access to Android Market™, 4-inch clear and bright 700-nit NOVA touchscreen, 5MP rear-facing camera with 3x zoom and 720p video capability, 2MP front-facing camera, 1GHz processor with 4GB of internal storage, GPS-enabled, Stereo Bluetooth® technology, Easy Access to Gmail™ and Google Talk™.

Well, Verizon Wireless Verizon will sell this Apple iPhone 4S Verizon Wireless with 16 GB and 32 GB version with the price and the carrier contract more or less the same with AT&T offers.
Apple iPhone 4S Verizon Wireless is more and less the same with iPhone 4s GSM ones, especially on it physical appearances since there is no different at all between them. Appearance: Samsung Galaxy Y is a small phone and fits into the hand snugly. It has a 3.0 inch screen and as with most touch phones of this size, it’s not for you if you have big hands. The back is plastic but certainly doesn’t look so and with the chrome rim, it gives the phone an expensive look.
Samsung Galaxy Y has a candy bar design and has three buttons on the front. One is the physical home button and two are capacitive. There’s no ambient light sensor or front facing camera but a proximity sensor is provided.
The left side of the Samsung Galaxy Y has the volume rocker and the right side of the phone has the power/sleep button. The top has the 3.5mm jack and the microUSB port.

Interface:
The interface of the Samsung Galaxy Y is similar to the ones on other Samsung Android handsets. It comes with TouchWiz UI on top of Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread), which is a pleasant surprise.
You can have up to 7 home screens populated with apps etc. The bottom of the screen has four shortcuts for contacts, dialer, messages and menu.
Swipe down from the top and you get the notifications bar. Here you can quickly toggle Bluetooth, GPS among other options and it shows other information about active connections, downloads and missed events amongst other things as well.

Apps in the menu can be accessed by swiping horizontally. A prolonged press of the physical button brings up recent apps and the task manager where you can kill applications and see usage of the 290MB of the available RAM.
We want to add that the text looks a bit fuzzy and its not as pretty as one would want it to be but all Android functionality is present and at this price, we can’t really complain.

Performance:
The 832 MHz processor is good enough for general usage, apps and web browsing. We didn’t experience any glitches in the graphics but the resolution, 320×240, is a bit low and there were quite a few apps and games that didn’t perform well and some even refused to work at all.

Contacts and Messaging:
The phonebook leaves nothing to be desired. It has every functionality one could think of and its loaded with TouchWiz which provides some really handy shortcuts.
Texting on a 3.0 screen was always going to be a chore. It has the usual portrait virtual keyboard and it switches it to its landscape version when tilted to the side. Things get a little cramped but with a little practice one could get used to it.

The window in which you see what you have typed is too small for our comfort. What I love about texting in the Galaxy Y however, is Swype. When activated, you don’t have to lift your finger and you can just drag your finger over the keyboard to form a word.
Accuracy is high and we were very pleased with it. There is an option for voice input too but while it’s accurate enough it takes too much time. Other input options include handwriting recognition. Texts are shown in the popular threaded view which is good. Adding multimedia content will automatically turn the text into a MMS.

Google Nexus Prime is the new gadget from Google, the next flagship Android handset. There is no exact information about the specs, but the rumor said that this phone will powered by newest Google Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code. I’m sure that a lot of people out there surmise this Nexus’s appearance with its capability, and really waiting for this gadget, and then guess the Google Nexus Prime release date. The GT-19250 will be the number of the Nexus Prime. We can’t expect the Google Nexus Prime release date exactly, but it seems like on October. This release is likely will be the Big G’s best phone to date. Just wait and see guys!! ^^

Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the company’s first 7-inch tablet and the first 7-inch tablet to run Android 3.2. Besides its great OS, the tablet’s specs are a high-tech look. Let us see, the tablet equipped with Tegra 2 SoC, five megapixel camera as the main camera on its back along with an LED flash next to it and two megapixel camera as the secondary up top on the front, and also micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports. The two megapixel camera is built with a home button built into the lower bezel, which will help you while using the tab in landscape mode.Besides the home button, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack up and on the opposite edge there are two small speakers on either end, with a micro-HDMI port, docking connector, and a micro-USB socket in between. This tablet also has an external storage which is easy to access. No need worries about the sound, you’ll get a great sound quality, though it’s just a tablet. Physically, it has a slim body, lighter than HTC Flyer but heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab, and looks so pretty with its golden ribbons stretching from edge to edge.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 didn’t add much popular apps. They have their own software for sharing media with over devices over a shared WiFi network. Having Android 3.2 makes Tab A100 works well showed by improved performances. This tablet is worth competing with other bigger and more expensive ones.
The battery life of Acer Iconia Tab A100 is a little disappointed. We’ll have five hours to use it after we charged the battery, no longer than the other tablets. I’m sure that Acer should be replacing their battery and make a wise decision to compensate for the Android 3.2. Because, it’s useless when the technology is already high but lost the battery life. This will make potential users think twice to buy the Acer Iconia Tab A100.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Specification

AT&T was released a new phone featuring  Samsung Nexus S. Samsung Nexus S At&T Version, which is achievable and desirable touch-screen smartphone, arise to enliven Android phone. Nexus S is not the carrier or manufacturer version, it just runs stock android 2.3 existing ones. It has a slim body like T-Mobile’s version (4 stars) and has a smaller screen than the recent round of humongo-phones with 4.3-inch screens. Samsung Nexus S At&T Version has a plus point on that speaker. It has a better quality sound than the T-Mobile or Sprint models. We can receive a good quality and loud voices when we make a call.
The Nexus S connected to AT&T’s network at respectable 3G in a high speed and equipped with technology named HSPA, which can get speeds of double or triple that on AT&T’s network. You wouldn’t think it can as fast as it does. The phone also completed with the bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS or Global Positioning System that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth. The Samsung Nexus S has a unique feature such as software development, which can kill and develop Android it self. You may think that this phone is really suitable for a hacker or software developer.
The Samsung Nexus S At&T version behaves well, but not as good as the competitor. The Nexus S 4G is defeated by the EVO on the Sunspider Javascript test, while the Triumph beat it on the Browsermark test. Also, its 1GHz processor is outmatched by higher-end dual-core models nowadays. This phone will look terrible for those who have the clumsy fingers since its touch keyboard are smaller than on Motorola and HTC phones.
Absence of carrier or manufacturer preloads here reminded again that the nexus (includeing the Samsung Nexus S AT&T ) is the Google’s official developer phone. And just remember that Android market is always available to you.

WiMAX players should listen to this closely: News is that Samsung will soon releases Galaxy S II which will be WiMax enabled version. If you are already an SGS II lover, this news will surely add something to it.
Just imagine a place like Pakistan, with no 3G, but a way to have a high speed internet phone - definitely a mouth watering thing that is about to happen soon.
Samsung will launch this phone sometime in  August in the US market. After going through FCC regulations recently, experts say that this depicted phone is very much similar to the leaked picture of sprint-based Galaxy S II.
Sprint version incorporates the same specs such as 1.2GHz dual core processors as the EU version, and Google’s 2.3 Android Gingerbread. Difference in dimensions is there as phone will be 5mm taller and 3mm wider.
It will not be long now when we will enter into a new era of WiMax enabled devices, and one such popular device – Galaxy S II is coming with this facility, sometime in August.
It merits mentioning here that Galaxy S II has already made its mark throughout the world and recently passed sales record of Apple’s iPhone as well. It is said that company has sold some 5 million SGS II handsets worldwide in 90 days, without hitting the US market yet.

If you’ve got the T-Mobile G2x (ie, the LG Optimus 2X), you’ll be pleased to hear that T-Mobile has officially announced their Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to its LG G2x customers. This is great news as the handset originally came only with Froyo – Android 2.2. The update includes the following enhancements, one of which is better battery life, a feature all Android phones could benefit from.

  • Improved battery life
  • Improved front-facing camera operation when using Qik record and share
  • Improved disabling Car Home
  • Helps address unexpected reboots.
T-Mobile confirmed the update is rolling out over the air (OTA) now, but you should be able to manually check for the software by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. We heard early reports that some G2x users were experiencing a lot of bugs with their devices so we hope this update fixes most, if not all of them.

Samsung Electronics & Co. is said to have surpassed Nokia and Apple in terms of handset sales, in the recent quarter.
It is estimated that Samsung has sold upto 21 million smartphones in the said period whereas Apple is lagging with 20.3 million iPhone sales. Nokia seems to be left far behind with 16.7 million sales, a researcher at analyst company said.
Samsung which is considered as second largest handset maker in the industry got this boost from Google’s miracle – Android. Topping the list, Samsung’s galaxy phones are helping it a lot in giving a tough competition to its rival, Apple.
It is expected that Samsung will share the market with industry’s largest handset maker – Nokia, this year. Samsung will have an approximate market share of 20%, closing the gap with Nokia’s 26%.
On the other hand, Apple is still able to give competition with its iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S may be) which is expected to be released, later this year.
While Samsung Galaxy S II has already made its mark by having more than 3 million sales in less than two months after it’s launch. Keeping in view these figures, Samsung already has sold 30+ Galaxy S II phone per minute, worldwide.
It merits mentioning here that Samsung is expected to double its handset sales (including those which are not smartphone) by this year.
