Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the company’s first 7-inch tablet and the first 7-inch tablet to run Android 3.2. Besides its great OS, the tablet’s specs are a high-tech look. Let us see, the tablet equipped with Tegra 2 SoC, five megapixel camera as the main camera on its back along with an LED flash next to it and two megapixel camera as the secondary up top on the front, and also micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports. The two megapixel camera is built with a home button built into the lower bezel, which will help you while using the tab in landscape mode.Besides the home button, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack up and on the opposite edge there are two small speakers on either end, with a micro-HDMI port, docking connector, and a micro-USB socket in between. This tablet also has an external storage which is easy to access. No need worries about the sound, you’ll get a great sound quality, though it’s just a tablet. Physically, it has a slim body, lighter than HTC Flyer but heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab, and looks so pretty with its golden ribbons stretching from edge to edge.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 didn’t add much popular apps. They have their own software for sharing media with over devices over a shared WiFi network. Having Android 3.2 makes Tab A100 works well showed by improved performances. This tablet is worth competing with other bigger and more expensive ones.
The battery life of Acer Iconia Tab A100 is a little disappointed. We’ll have five hours to use it after we charged the battery, no longer than the other tablets. I’m sure that Acer should be replacing their battery and make a wise decision to compensate for the Android 3.2. Because, it’s useless when the technology is already high but lost the battery life. This will make potential users think twice to buy the Acer Iconia Tab A100.
