PlayStation Network is in the spotlight again, but unfortunately, there is no good news in sight. PSN is still down, but to make things even worse, it appears that personal information has been stolen from PSN.
Sony’s official announcement states that personal information has been stolen and that Sony is still investigating this incident. According to official response from Sony, they believe that unauthorized person has obtained personal information such as names, addresses, birthdates, email addresses, and PSN logins from PSN. In addition, it is possible that data such as purchase history, billing addresses, and PlayStation Network security answers are compromised as well. Of course, to make things worse, Sony says that credit card information might also be at risk, and it advises its users to keep a close eye for any changes on their credit cards.
As you can see, Sony continues to have problems with hackers, but officials from Sony are hoping to get PSN working again within a week.
