Fans of RIM, makers of BlackBerry smartphones cult, now have the chance to seize the company’s first tablet, the BlackBerry PlayBook. We first spoke of the PlayBook tablet last Sept when it was unveiled, but now its finally available, at prices starting from $500.

The base model comes with 16GB capacity but for those who would prefer to have more storage space, you can check out the 32GB version for $600 and around $700 for the top model with 64GB memory. The tablet has an obvious business look and offers a dual core processor at 1GHz and 1 GB of RAM which makes the PlayBook more than capable of multitasking. Other specs include GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n. The Playbook has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, running a proprietary operating system based on QNX technology, and of course as you may already have heard, there is support for Adobe Flash and AIR 10.1. Lastly, the PlayBook boasts two powerful cameras ideal for videoconferencing – one with 5 megapixel and one with 3 megapixels
